Learn skills that can help you become more resilient no matter what is happening. Let’s revisit traditional skills that have become forgotten, and discover new ones to gain self-reliance.
Homesteading Skills
Here you’ll find skills you may need for making things from scratch. Try some soap making, make your own lotion, make cleaning products, learn to make clothing, furniture, chicken tractors and more. This is a work in progress. So keep checking back to find new items as I get caught up with writing!
Raising Animals for Milk, eggs, Meat and more
This area of content covers animal husbandry. How to start with livestock, what you need to consider before starting, feed, care, and pasturing. You’ll find fencing tips and herbal healing suggestions. We’ll talk about goat pregnancies, kidding, and after-care, milking and weaning, and so much more. Get your first chickens or add meat chickens, breeds and all the how-tos. How about pigs? Let’s find out more about it!

Guide to composting
Get a free carbon to nitrogen ratio chart and a composting 101 tutorial that explains how to use these ratios and why they are so important. Create the best food for your soil. Your fruits and vegetables are what they eat and if your goal is to harvest nutrient dense, naturally grown and delicious food for you and your family, start by feeding your soil the best compost!

Off-grid living
I’ve been living off the grid for a decade now and have lots to share. This is a fairly new blog, so I’m not caught up yet with all that I want to write about (that will take years!) But this section will cover solar energy, rainwater catchment, and more. I live currently in the middle of a piece of land that has no utilities. It’s a challenge sometimes, but there are ways to make it work. I’ll update this section once I get some content together.
Self Sufficiency
Here we’ll be discussing new practical skills, tips, and strategies essential for achieving independence in your homesteading journey. Gain new knowledge to live a more sustainable lifestyle and learn about traditional self-sufficiency skills. There is no content yet, as I can only type so fast, lol. Stay tuned for great things to come!
